Travel with a Millennial View"

With University of San Francisco Hospitality Department Students

For the past couple of years we have discussed the changing demographics of travelers with respect to technology and age.  We’ve all come to rely on technology in our daily lives both personal and professional.  Some of us rely on tech more than others.   “Millennials”, or those born in the 1980’s and 1990’s, are fast taking over the workplace.  Their expectations from technology and their use of technology is much greater than those of us born before 1980.  Our March speaker, Tim Hines, pointed out the differences pretty vividly in his mobility presentation.

We’ve tapped a group of students from the Hospitality Program at the University of San Francisco.  In this meeting the students are going to report some of their observations from their studies as well as their recent New York City “field trip” to get firsthand experience with corporate travel.  They will be available to quiz about what they think of travel management;  what their business travel expectations are; and what they will be expecting as either our customers or our colleagues.  

This will be your chance to really understand who your new customers and/or colleagues are and how they view business travel.  Come prepared to ask questions so that you can grasp the differences between “Millennials” and those of us pre-1980.  Your program could be vastly improved and prepared for the future from what you learn!
