We’ve all had our reasons for getting into the travel industry.  In my experience many of us started as travel agents, sales representatives, or airline employees.  Very few actively studied the travel industry in college and graduated with the expressed desire to make the travel industry their career. 

Today, universities such as the University of San Francisco are teaching their students how to manage business with a specific emphasis on the hospitality industry.  At BABTA we’ve talked a lot about the upcoming young traveler and their expectations for the future with regard to travel.  Now we can hear from a professor who can give us a firsthand account of what’s being taught and what young people coming into the industry expect as they enter our industry.
