Doreen Dunican is the Travel Manager at Wikimedia Foundation in San Francisco. If you haven’t heard of Wikimedia before you may want to do some research because it is a fascinating organization. The Wikimedia Foundation is the non-profit organization that operates Wikipedia and other free knowledge projects. Together these sites are the fifth most visited web property in the world. Their office is in San Francisco, California, USA. Their mission is to empower a global volunteer community to collect and develop the world's knowledge and to make it available to everyone for free, for any purpose.
As one of BABTA’s newest Corporate Members, we want to welcome Doreen not just to our chapter but also to her new home – the Bay Area! Doreen commutes from the east bay to the Financial District to provide the meetings, service and support required by her travelers who literally trot the globe. Doreen is responsible for various contracts required within a world-wide travel program. She is a native of the San Diego area, having relocated here with her husband Rod and new stepson Shane. When she is not consulting with her key road warriors or completing meetings management activities she might be taking a short walk to discover new sights in San Francisco or fun places to relax and just enjoy the views!
