Posted by elaineadmin on Mar. 21, 2014  /   2

NetApp Americas Senior Travel Manager Mark Ziegler, a 13-year GBTA member and BABTA VP Programs board member made national news last week with his proposal that GBTA fill all four seats reserved for Allied members on its board of directors through elections, instead of automatically seating the president and vice president of GBTA's Allied Leadership Council. In the Business Travel News article Ziegler said. "You can have a committee or a task force for any Allied issues. You don't need an assigned or appointed board member for that." As an allied member of GBTA I support Mark's proposal for the membership to vote for all allied members participating on the GBTA Board. Appointments are outdated and do not always serve the members.
